"Always, when you know what you don't want, that's when the rocket of desire is born of what you do want."
- Esther Hicks (channeler, inspirational speaker, and author of The Law of Attraction)
That's me, at Cape Canaveral, Florida, in the spring of 1973, with a Saturn V rocket (topped by the Skylab space station) on the launch pad in the distance. The Space Program was still young and a big deal to elementary school kids like me. I have been launching rockets of desire ever since (whether I knew it or not) . Photo credit: Ruth Dorrwachter.
"Off we go led by the warm and mellow folk voice by Cambridge Massachusetts, guitarist/singer songwriter Karen Zanes. Her new album " Rockets Of Desire ", out now via Germany's Sascha Wehling net label Aumega Project, contains 10 beautifully crafted acid folk ballads which may bring you in mind the beauty of Bridget St. John or the late Judee Sill. A lovely, beautiful record."
- Mimmo Caccomo via London Calling - Shades of Rock
